Islamabad: Government officials of Azad Jammu & Kashmir has confirmed thaT tansmission of Geo New has been banned for not showing Kashmir as part of Pakistan.
Last week, in Geo News showed a map in which Kashmir was shown as part of India in its prime time show "Aaj Shahzab Khanzada Ke saath", since then activists on social media criticised GeoNews for this blunder. However, Shahzaib Khanzada in his later program clarified that it was a mistake and the image was downloaded from Dawn news website . He also said that in the repeat telecast the map was corrected.
Many Kashmir activists has criticised role of Geo most importantly the Hurriyat leadership accused Geo as Raw Agent in Pakistan.
